Architect and Developed Today’s Deal Page for Amazon.in which serves more than 150 MM customers. Deals page is responsible for high velocity events (Diwali, Prime day, Black Friday and other peak sales) and is built for scale to handle spike traffic and flash sales. Redesigned the Today’s Deal page over multiple iterations for better Customer experience and implemented features like lazy-loading for merchandising more campaigns in Today’s Deal page. Worked backwards from customer viewpoint to give a flawless experience to navigate, explore and grab the best deals. Enabled vernacular on the platform to support multiple regional languages like Hindi. Worked extensively on bringing down the latency of the page from 7sec (p90) to 3 sec (p90). Developed System to automatically surface good quality deals(Deal-o-Matic) and worked on pricing guardrails (Deals Internal webseite) to ensure the customer get meaningful and valuable deals and raising the bar on the deal pricing standards.
